Organic eggs come from hens that are free to roam in an outdoor area during the day and are housed safely and securely in sheds at night. Organic chickens receive access to the outdoors. They are not constricted to cages. As they run around outside they feed on grass and other plants that add nutritional value to their diet, specifically increasing omega-3 fatty acids. These may enhance the nutritional value of the eggs, too. The main difference between organic and free range is organic eggs are produced without the use of any chemicals. Eggs contain trace amounts of Calcium, Zinc, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, and Vitamin B6. Additionally, they contain a significant amount of other vitamins.
